Program Structure
The program has four main components consisting of clinical practice, didactics, teaching, and quality improvement.
An overview of the program’s curriculum:
Clinical Practice
- One-on-One Mentoring: 3 hours/week
- Non-mentored Clinical Care: 30-36 hours/week
- Training Room Coverage: 4-8 hours/week
- Sports Event Coverage: hours vary dependent on sport
Didactic
- Medbridge SCS Preparation Course: variable
- Sports Medicine Grand Rounds: variable
- Journal Club: variable
- Professional Conferences: variables
Teaching
- Professionalism Course – Teaching Assistant: 3 hours/week (1 quarter)
- Therapeutic Exercise – Teaching Assistant: 15 hours/week (1 quarter)
- ICE – Clinical Instructor: (1 day/week, 1 quarter)
Quality Improvement Project
- As part of the residency experience, the resident actively engages in leading segments of a quality improvement initiative, in partnership with Bespoke’s clinical staff or the Division of Physical Therapy faculty. The hours are variable and contingent upon the chosen project’s complexity.
