The University of Washington is a premier institution of research and higher education located in the heart of Seattle, WA, in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. We are part of UW Medicine, which includes four world-class hospitals and a healthcare network that spans the WWAMI (Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho) region.

Our physical therapy residencies are housed within the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine and Division of Physical Therapy in the UW School of Medicine. Innovative clinical partnerships across Seattle and the eastside include EvergreenHealth Medical Center, the University of Washington Medical Center, Seattle Children’s Hospital, EvergreenHealth in Kirkland, and local organizations rooted in providing evidence-based, family-centered care, such as Advanced Manual Therapy, Boyer Children’s Clinic, Seattle Public Schools, and the UW Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) Program.

Our Physical Therapy Residency Programs in Acute Care, Neurology, Orthopedics, and Pediatrics are founded on three Pillars of Excellence: Patient Care, Teaching, and Leadership & Advocacy. Our residents leave the program as advanced clinical practitioners, innovative educators, and leaders in their professional and personal lives. Come be a part of the UW legacy.
