Meet our Resident!

Our Current Resident

Daniel Millar PT, MPH, DPT

Hey, y’all, my name’s Daniel. I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. I went to college in Houston, Texas, at Rice University and studied Sports Medicine. Then, I got my DPT at the University of Texas at El Paso in 2018 (Go Miners!). My independent study from PT school was published in the Journal of Physical Therapy Education entitled “Exploring Student Beliefs and Attitudes About Learning Spanish in a Doctor of Physical Therapy Curriculum.”After graduating, I worked for about 2.5 years with an incredibly inspiring and passionate therapy team at an outpatient pediatric clinic in San Antonio called the Children’s Rehabilitation Institute TeletonUSA. I have transitioned to travel therapy and completed contracts in California and Pennsylvania in the past year. I’m looking forward to the UW pediatric residency because of the diversity in clinical settings and patient populations that it has to offer. I’m also excited about the opportunity to serve as a teaching assistant and clinical instructor for the UW DPT Program. My ultimate goal is to become a professor in a PT program and conduct research at the intersection of physical therapy, public health, and social determinants of health (including diversity, equity, and inclusion).
